How to Find the Perfect Brownie #browniebling

Wednesday sweet little Pippa and I headed to the airport for a quick one day trip to Dallas. Nothing says a busy day quite like a 5:00 am date with an airplane. But of course I was so excited to do so, because it’s been about a month since we moved to Louisiana and I sure do miss my friends in the good ole “DFW”. Not only was it going to be a great time with good friends, but I we were going to party with one of the tastiest companies out!Since we were heading into town just that morning the set up was quick, but boy did it look good! One thing I like is color…lots of color! So I loaded the table with fun bright papers, patterns, sweet treats and delicious drinks. Before any of the guests arrived I had SUCH a hard time restraining myself from the amazing treats Great American Cookies sent over for us. They currently offer an extensive lineup of delicious cookies, Cookie Cakes, brownies and other treats; and seriously they looked mouth watering!As my friends came over, one by one, we laughed, photographed, talked, and played some games. One thing was for sure though, these NEW! Fudge Brownie made with M&M’s® were oh so fun and simply divine! Let me just say for all to hear…I LOVE brownies. I mean like almost enough to sell my first born love them. And with this kind of love comes some expertise, I’d like to say, on the subject. Yes my friends, I can tell you exactly WHAT you need to look for before devouring a {hopefully} delicious brownie.
1. It must be moist. When you hold a piece of that chocolatey goodness, it should feel a little gooey on your fingers while you enjoy it. Chewing should almost be optional as you roll a sliver of that brownie around in your mouth, experiencing all it has to offer before you swallow it, only to bite another piece! There is nothing worse than a dry crumbly brownie that falls apart before you can put it in your mouth. No good! Well, let me correct myself, if the brownie is rock hard, THAT my friends would be worse. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
2. Toppings. Your brownie must have some sort of topping. I call this the flair factor. Yes, your brownie may be moist, but if that’s all you’ve got, it’s a one trick pony. We brownie lovers (because I’m sure there’s a group of us, ha!) need something to surprise us, enhance the taste, or even just make it look fun! Let’s take Great American Cookies’ NEW! Fudge Brownie made with M&M’s® for an example. Not only are the M&M’s bright and colorful, but they are a sweet treat favorite for many. What dessert isn’t made better by adding them to it?! I know, right?!And to celebrate the Great American Cookies’ new brownie, we had a fun little M&M’s toss in it’s honor! The only problem was the struggle for us to NOT eat the M&M’s and toss them into the buckets, ha!

3. Size matters. uh-huh, I just said that. To properly enjoy a brownie I’m a believer in the “bigger the better” theory. No small pieces for me! I want a slice big enough that I have to save some back for seconds; that way I feel almost like I’ve held to some sort of a diet by refraining from eating the whole thing. The brownie needs to be SO big it has it’s own zip code my friends. When in doubt, cut your slices BIG! Plus, sharing large brownies with friends can lead to fun sugary moments and photos like this:
