My husband and I don’t have room in our apartment for a table, so we eat on the couch with tv trays. We also use the trays for crafts, games, and a writing surface. I love them, they are completely versatile, but those things are ugly!! So, why not give them a makeover!?
We made ours into a cute little tray that we wouldn’t mind for anyone to see! And you can too with the TV Tray Table Makeover Tutorial, cause I’m awesome like that!
What You’ll Need:
*Paint
*Chalkboard paint
*Stencils
Start by painting the legs, make sure the legs are completely covered because they are visible from every angle!
Once dried, turn the table right side up and paint the top.
Carefully lay the stencil over the painted top and paint with your choice of a darker color.
Place chalkboard stencil over top and trace around the edges.
Paint within the lines using chalkboard paint.
Wait for it to dry and there you go, cutest tv tray I’ve ever seen!
Now we’re able to use this beauty to eat off, write notes or messages of things we need to remember when we get off the couch, or keep score when I’m beating Jason at whatever game we’re playing. I’d say this was a successful makeover!
*While I love to do crafts & tutorials, my sister has some great ideas too. This is one of them!*
