As we are in full swing of this Christmas season it seems EVERYONE and their dog is working on sending out Holiday cards. Everyone except for me that is. Those suckers are the bain of my existence. It’s not that I don’t enjoy them, truly I do and I really love receiving cards, but I cannot seem to send any out myself. Sure there have been years when I have decided to splurge on beautiful custom cards and squeal with delight when they arrive at my doorstep. But once they make it into my house, they never seem to LEAVE my house again. We never get stamps, or forget to address them, and the list goes on. Then I get to sit and look at 50 Christmas cards for a year until I finally decide I won’t ever send them out and at that point it’s time to update with a new one anyway. Yes, can you see why I am not a fan of Holiday cards?!
But this year I had a dream, albeit a delusion one, to FINALLY make and send out a Christmas card. In fact we have something extra special to celebrate because we welcomed sweet Pippa into our family. Our extended family is spread throughout the country and unfortunately many of them have yet to meet her. So sending out a Christmas card with a photo of our big, beautiful family would be such a treat! The only thing is I seem to be plagued with the same issues as before. HOW was I going to make these cards ACTUALLY happen this year?! Enter Open Me cards.
A website dedicated to making all your card giving needs come true. But what makes this site a homerun in my book?
