Decorating for the Holidays is SO much fun for me; especially when I get to craft the item. There is no better feeling than dreaming up an idea, taking random materials, and giving them new life as your plan comes to life. While I love myself a good topiary tree, I decided to put my spin on a fun Holiday one. One that can be used as decorations AND a gift. Yes, killing two birds with one stone…I’m like a multitasking genius over here, ha!
I have some great friends who LOVE chewing gum and it seems they are never without any. So when Sam and I were deciding what to get them for Christmas I landed on the idea of creating a gum Topiary Tree. As I was grocery shopping at WalMart the other day I snagged a couple of packs of Extra Gum for the tree. I have grown quite fond of the silvery sheen on their wrappers and knew it would be PERFECT for my crafting needs.
This topiary tree is incredibly simple, albeit time consuming, but it will be a present or decoration that will the talk of the town! Now let’s get started!
What you’ll need:
* 15 packs of Extra Gum
*Foam Topiary Form
*Metal Bucket
*white tissue paper
*festive ribbon
*floral pins
*hot glue gun/glue
Push the floral pin through gum and form. Fluff/fan gum as you go! Repeat on both balls.

Those are super cute and festive! It is so amazing what you can make from gum wrappers.
Wow!!this would be a great gift idea. I ALWAYS have gum on me. Pinned this, too. Visiting from TX Women Bloggers.
