We are what I’d like to call Birthday Experts. Not that we throw the best parties or really even give the most amazing jaw dropping gifts. No, with juggling 5 kids, jobs, and church there is absolutely no way we could be those kind of birthday experts. But because we can’t we have mastered the way of making the birthday individual feel oh so special as we celebrate the day of their birth. Many times our family members’ birthdays fall pretty close to a major holiday like; Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Independence Day, and New Years. This can make it extra hard to have the PERFECT special day for that perfect someone in your life. And when you think about making Birthdays special, you think of Hallmark. (At least I do, ha!) They actually specialize in making Birthday Smiles with each incredible card they make.So with the help of Hallmark and the passion they have behind making life moments extra special, I’ve compiled a list of 3 ways you can make a birthday around the holidays special.
1. Find the PERFECT card – Whether you’re the best, worst, or forgetful gifter, having the right card can almost make or break a gift. Have you ever spent time down the card aisle? Anytime I head to Walmart and have an extra moment or two, I like to stand there and read through some of the amazing cards. There are SO many options; ones you’ll laugh, cry, or smirk while reading; but trust me spending time looking for THE Hallmark card is totally worth it when your loved one opens it up and LOVES it. Just a little extra touch to separate their birth from a holiday celebration.
2. Use Birthday wrapping paper – While it would be easy to just grab Christmas paper during the Christmas season, that doesn’t make a birthday stand out. Take the time to use some fun, bright, birthday wrapping paper to really set their gifts a part. One it helps keep your mind straight on which gift is gifted when (Come on, you know that’s not only a struggle for me, right? right?!), and it helps your sweet birthday pal know you haven’t forgotten about their celebration!
3. Have Birthday Traditions – Set birthday traditions that you can do for all birthdays. The anticipation will be oh so fun for the birthday one. And it doesn’t have to be anything huge either. What about having birthday pancakes complete with whipped cream, sprinkles, and lit candles?! Something small, and yet so sweet.
These are honestly simple little touches, but they speak volumes. That’s why I love Hallmark, they make it easy for me! But they don’t just have the best birthday cards, nope they have much, much more! In fact Hallmark has been featured in this digital magazine which has GREAT tips/ideas for the Holidays:
