The girls and I treated ourselves to a fun and festive Halloween Bash! It all started out as a normal meal, but we decided to have some fun with it! They not only had a blast making all of the goodies with me, but they sure loved eating them too, ha!
So here’s how it went down. Pizza is always a bit hit at my house and it just so happened Tombstone has the cutest monster face pizza packages! We sure had to snatch one of those up. What fun is a little bash without candy?! All of our goodies came from our favorite local Walmart; my go to place for almost anything and everything I ever need! Now we had our food, we just needed to kick it up a notch…and that’s where I came in!
First on our candy creation adventure was these tasty Candied Cupcakes.
What you’ll need:
* your favorite cake mix
* your favorite icing
*cupcake liners
* Nestle’s Butterfingers, Crunch, and Nerds
Make your cupcake batter as directed on the cake box. Then pour batter into cupcake liners and bake. (use directions on box)
Once the cupcakes are done baking take them out of the oven to cool. While they are cooling chop up the Nestle’s Butterfingers and Crunch.
After you’re done chopping ice your cupcakes then sprinkle on your candy goodness!
How about some sweet now?! These pretzels get my mouth watering BIG time.
What you’ll need:
* pretzels
* chocolate almond bark
* Nestle’s Butterfinger, Crunch, Nerds
*wax paper
Break up your almond bark and melt it in the microwave. I usually do 30 second increments and take it out to stir. This will help you to see if it’s melted.
While the almond bark is melting chop up your candy.
Lay pretzels out on wax paper then drizzle the chocolate over them.
Grab candies and sprinkle them over the chocolate covered pretzels and let dry.
And finally, what good is all this food if there isn’t anything to wash it down with?! Doesn’t this drink look tasty?!
What you’ll need:
*lime sherbet
*Sprite
*Almond Bark
*glasses (we used martini and wine glasses)
*Nestle’s Butterfiner, Crunch, and Nerds
Scoop out the sherbet into a bowl. It helps to have let the sherbet sit out for a little bit so it’s soft.
Pour in the Sprite and mix well until lumps have mostly dissolved.
Break up your almond bark and melt it in the microwave. I usually do 30 second increments and take it out to stir. This will help you to see if it’s melted.
While the almond bark is melting chop up your candy.
Dip the tip of your glass into the melted chocolate.
Once it’s covered in chocolate add the candy. Let the glass sit for a few minutes to dry and allow the chocolate to set.
Just add punch!
How fun are they?!
These were some quick, but fun additions to a normal meal for us. But the kids LOVED making it special by turning it into a Halloween Bash!
What recipe do you have that you think adding candy to it might just send your taste buds through the roof?
Go out and try it!
