I LOVE Arkansas! It’s beautiful, I live in a small town, it’s just home. It’s where my heart is, where I got married, where I hope my husband and I are to stay. Being an Arkansan comes with a lot of pride! So, I decided to show my pride with cute little decorations.
You’ve seen State Love shirts before, but I wanted to kick it up a notch with this shabby chic DIY Painted State Love Sign. Now you don’t have to be an Arkansan to appreciate how awesome this tutorial is, but it just might help, ha!
What You’ll Need:
*2ft by 2 ft wood
*assorted paint
*heart stencil
*pencil
*large stencil
*jigsaw
Trace out desired state. (although who are we kidding, theres no place like Arkansas!)
Use jigsaw to cut on traced line.
Take state cut out and paint the whole thing in desired color.
Place stencil on state and paint with desired color. When lifting stencil, make sure to overlap the stencil to create a perfect line up.
Use heart stencil and trace around the edges.
Paint inside the heart stencil lines.
Now I have a cute wall decor to show my love for the natural state!
*While I love to do crafts & tutorials, my sister has some great ideas too. This is one of them!*

I would not turn down an Alabama one if you’re just feeling like doing more! 😉
haha, right!?
