Favorite Finds: Accessories With a Cause

As a woman, I love to shop. And who wouldn’t love some fun new accessories to finish off summer and start the school year off right?! I mean I know I’M not the one starting school, but can’t I celebrate too?! Any new reason to add some new accessories to my closet, right?!

But what I love more than shopping, is supporting businesses with a cause. Nothing makes me feel better than knowing my hard earned money with help others out. So today I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite businesses and products. These items are on my wish list. Accessories with a cause!

1. TOMS Kitty Pink Tortoise Sunglasses, 2. TOMS Kilgore 57mm Aviator Sunglasses – I LOVE these two styles…can I have both?! (there are MANY more styles) And who doesn’t love the fact that when you purchase TOMS eyewear you help support doctors all over the world who provide eye care for those who can’t afford it.

3. fashionABLE scarves – Beautiful, Beautiful scarves in all colors and patterns. These scarves are made by women in Africa. Each one of them has a new life and job in order to keep them off the streets and out of the life of prostitution. When I did my Pink Project last year, we helped free 7 women who now make these scarves. How awesome is that?!

4. Lily and Laura bracelets – Made by women in Nepal, in an effort to pay them more than a fair trade’s wage. I love when women come together to help other women out. PLUS the bracelets are GORGEOUS!!! I’ll take like 45 of them!

5. Better Life Bags Lydia, 6. Better life Bags Brynnda – I already own and LOVE a Better Life Bag, but I would DIE for one of these two in the new fabric patterns. SWOON! They hire women who would not have a job elsewhere. They are often first generation immigrants and need to provide for their families.
