Last month I shared with you all about my GENIUS plan to get my family back to the wonderful land of Sea World. Is it bad for me to admit I might love the place more than my kids do?! Hope not, ha! Anyway, I knew we needed to save money to make this happen and as it turned out while shopping at Walmart I found the light.
By switching to Walmart Family Mobile we were able to cut our phone bill in half! That was craziness to me, think of all the money we had been wasting! We needed this cheap wireless plan and we needed it fast! We love the fact that there is no contracts, surprise bills, online account managing, and unlimited texting and calling. We JUST had a baby, remember?! So the unlimited text and calling was a bonus…people HAVE to know when you have a kid, and they WANT details!
So for the past month we have charted out how much money we’d need for our trip to Sea World and marked off as we have saved for it. The kids LOVE this idea and have even offered to put money from their piggy banks into the Sea World fund! I love it, we are ALL excited now! Making wise decisions like this for my family makes me feel like such a grown up, and in a good way. Plus I’m teaching my kids the value of a dollar. I mean how could I BE any cooler of a parent?! (a little FRIENDS shout out there for you, ha!) Oh yeah, I’m the saving ninja…and the kids love it!
