Man, it seriously amazes me how fast this pregnancy is flying by. To my kids it seems SO slow because they assume Pippa is coming out any day now. I have to explain that nope we have at least a month left until she comes. This is not good news to them, but for me it’s comforting, ha! Today I actually broke down and bought something for Pippa…yeah up until today we hadn’t purchased anything. Can you say baby #5 syndrome? I remember with Ethan I was panicking to make sure all was purchased and decorated by this point because in my mind he could come any day now. But now that I’m a well seasoned parent (ha!) I realize that I have oodles of time, no stress. Plus I am busy right now as it is with end of school year, recitals, VBS, etc. that preparing for this baby hasn’t really set in.
Yes, it has been made clear to me this week that I have officially arrived when it comes to baby bumps. Monday while at Paisley’s ballet practice a mom told me that I finally looked pregnant, to which I replied, “Are you smoking crack?” I feel like I have been showing for quite awhile now. Either way, this baby bump is getting BIG and along with that comes the joys of ligament pain, etc. Since I carry my babies low anyway, I get to waddle and deal with this pain sooner than most. It’s precious really. When I was talking to my midwife this week about it she told me that because I’ve had (will have) 5 kids, my muscles are weak and “everything just wants to fall out“. Ha! I about died with how blunt she was and the visual of my uterus plopping out. That’s when I knew she and I could be friends…we sometimes lack a filter.
Also, Ethan has mentioned at least 10 times in the last 2 weeks that he wants a baby brother after Pippa. The kid who wasn’t excited about having Penelope come doesn’t want us to stop after Pippa but instead have another. A brother to be exact. While it is so cute, I’m not sure I could handle a baby named Sonic or Thunder if he had his way. Yikes.
Until next week….

You look so cute in your baby bump pics! It’s sweet that your kiddos are excited to meet their new sister!
Thanks friend!
You look amazing! And I totally know what you mean about baby #5 syndrome. I think we were out the week before our #5 was born. Figured she might as well have an outfit or two “all her own.” Getting excited and looking forward to pics! 🙂
Right?! That’s how we are…may need to get some things…in a few weeks. ha!
LOVE that they are all so excited to meet her!! Fun times ahead!! And you look fantastic!
I am actually surprised they are so excited, ha! We’ll see when she ACTUALLY gets here though.
