What’s that you say? I have officially reached the period in most women’s pregnancies when they count down the weeks left when people ask how far along they are. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have 10 weeks left. (give or take a few, ha!)
I think I have decided to make Pippa’s baby bedding. Two reasons really; one, I am too cheap to buy it (especially with all the add ons), and two, I have an obsession with the Amy Butler fabric Love Collection.
So wish me luck, I still need to find a good pattern to use (not that I really like following patterns, ha!) and to actually buy the fabric. Anyone have a wholesale account with Amy Butler?! Then I might need to make a boppy cover, blanket, and possibly some other fun things. I mean it’s Amy Butler fabric for Pete’s sake!
Get back with me in a few weeks and we’ll see if I did follow through with this idea, ha!
Did you make anything for your baby while pregnant? If so what???

10 weeks: I KNOW! Totally unprepared, and the only things I have made for her are peanut butter sandwiches. 😉
Good luck–I’m sure you’ll do a great job!
How crazy is that for us?!?! I think with each child you wait longer and longer to get stuff ready. So since I’m on #5, it probably won’t be until after she’s born before I even THINK about what she needs, ha!
I made Eli’s bedding and I sure did finish it when I thought I was in labor with him. 🙂 I bought a pattern from Hobby Lobby/Michael’s/joann someplace like that… but barely followed it. So good luck! Cut all your fabric and then find a babysitter and just get it all done one day. Good luck!
Oh, I’ll need to look there for patterns, thanks!!!
YES! 10 weeks left!!!!!!
I’m going to make Harlow’s bedding too – I have a few tutorials pinned and I’m just going to do a mish-mash of things I like using different tutorials. I think the bumper will be easy (yep, we still do a bumper, does that make us the worst parents in the world? Oh well), and a crib skirt and quilt should be easy-peasy too. I’m excited to see how you do it!
I don’t think you’ll need as much fabric as you think, especially if you do a paneled bumper – I think I got 1/2 a yard of 5-6 different fabrics and that will probably be too much. OH! And I used a GREAT boppy cover tutorial and my first one came out looking pretty bangin! Good luck!!!!!
GAHHHHHH I love Amy Butler fabric.
We do bumper pads too!
I am itching to make Little Miss’s crib set, but have no idea what to do. I think it’s because she is sharing a room with Arlo, and that room is fairly boyish. Ugh. Poor third baby.
ALSO 10 weeks left?! Didn’t you just announce that you are pregnant. This is flying by!! Can’t wait to “meet” sweet Pippa!!
Yeah, all three of our girls will share a room…poor FIFTH baby, ha! And I really do feel like I just announced I was pregnant, it is SO crazy!
I’m doing the SAME thing! So we can be bad bumper parents together! Though I have a feeling your bedding will come out much better than mine…I’m not as skilled as you are at sewing! ha!
Isn’t Amy Butler fabric amazing?!?!?! What will you do for Harlow???
Ya know the normal stuff. Blankets, sweaters, cocoons, hats, booties, that kind of thing.
Yeah you make a lot!
