Today my parents celebrate 31 years of wedded bliss!
Sadly in today’s society making it to 5 years is a big deal…so 31, WOW!
I am so thankful for them and their great model of love towards each other.
They will be the first to tell you that marriage isn’t easy, and it takes a lot of work.
BUT they will also say that it is SO worth it.
Did you know that they were only 18 years old when they were married?
As a matter of fact my mom had JUST turned 18 the week before.
That is why it truly is amazing that they are still together.
You want to know what the secret is?
Put God first!
Sounds so simple and lacking in “ah ha” moment quality, but let me tell you…it’s true.
If you strive to show your spouse love, mercy, and grace like the Father has shown us, your life will be changed.
Ask God to let you see your spouse like He sees us…whew, that will do it right there.
