The SITS Blog is hosting a Back to Blogging event.
For participating in the event you could have a chance to win Thelma and Louise! These are the GREAT sponsor to which I am so grateful for! Standards of Excellence, Westar Kitchen and Bath, and Florida Builder Appliances.
I missed yesterday due to my busy schedule, so I’m back on track today! And I could not think of a better topic to jump back in the game on!
This post originally aired April 4, 2010 and I love it. I mean honestly this gives a good glimpse into how crazy my life is. You just can’t make this stuff up and sometimes you just need a good laugh! So without further a due I give you:
Taking Care of Business
I feel like as a parent I have experienced moments I like to refer to as “tests”.
You know like when your child puts batteries in your toaster and it catches on fire…
Or when he secretly stores plastic utensils in the oven and we unknowingly turn said oven on…which we are then greeted with smoke billowing out and a horrible stench. Ruined those!
(true stories)
Yay for moments like those! (serious sarcasm)
Tonight we were greeted with another “testing moment”.
Oh joy.
We went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things and when we parked we began our “van exiting” ritual. (Sam unbuckles the boys and puts them in the cart while I get Paisley out and place her in the baby carrier of choice.) So Sam grabs Ethan and places him in the cart, then he turns around to grab Titus…while doing so he asks Ethan if he needs to go to the bathroom. (We just like to ask sometimes to make sure of no accidents) When Sam turns around he is greeted with this:
Yes ladies and gentlemen, I am NOT joking!
He was just taking care of business.
Sam yells at me to come and see while he is trying to put Titus down. While I’m freaking I yell for Ethan to pull up his pants.
For heaven sakes we are in the parking lot! and there are people around!
After laughing, photographing, and hyperventilating I explain to Ethan that we don’t go tinkle anywhere we have the urge. We must go in the potty.
Man, I thought the struggle was getting him to not go in a diaper or pull up.
I had NO idea that I would have to work on potty only!
Yes, my son could be arrested for indecent exposure.
And this mom is so proud. HA!
So you think your life is crazy…

Boys are so funny, guess I have this to look forward to now!! 🙂 I remember when you first posted this and falling on the floor laughing haha!
