Once upon a time there was a fair maiden.
She was a lovely and spirited gal, but had a great fear…
A fear of spiders!
No matter the shape, size, or color…the mere sight of that eight legged creature would send her into a screaming, panicking frenzy.
One day while the fair maiden was outside with her beautiful children, she spotted one of those wretched creatures.
A tarantula for pete’s sake!
One of her beautiful children was fearless, and he studied the spider then attempted to rescue his mother and kill it.
But the fair maiden could not allow such a beautiful boy to attempt such a task…no matter how brave he was! For she cared about his safety.
So the fair maiden ran inside to get her prince charming to rescue her…but he was off at work.
Man!
What was she to do?
All of her commotion drew a crowd of neighbor kids, and one of the sweet girls offered up her father’s warrior talents to slay the spider.
So off she ran to fetch him.
The brave warrior (the girl’s father) came out of his castle to see what was the bother. For he did not believe his daughter’s tale, and merely thought she was exaggerating.
Boy was he surprised to in fact be greeted by a tarantula.
But our warrior was brave indeed and killed the arachnid who threatened their safety and happiness!
“Hooray it’s dead!”, they shouted as they celebrated. The beautiful boy was sad though because he thought the brave warrior killed a “happy spider”. Fair Maiden felt bad for her poor, misguided boy because the only thing happy about that spider was it’s death. (can I get an amen)
In time the fair maiden and her beautiful children forgot about the tragic experience and they lived happily ever after.
Until the next time…

Whoa! I would have flipped over a tarantula!!! Gross!
I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE it!!
eeeewwwww!! i can’t believe that! I didn’t know they were just out and about like that! That guy IS brave, I could never crush something that big, for some reason. But i surely wouldn’t want it living and crawling into the house! glad it’s all taken care of!
Oh my gosh! I am going to have nightmares after seeing the pictures of that spider! I think you should have shot it with a gun 🙂
