My title sounds like it could come out of a soap opera episode near Halloween! Our weekend was very eventful and I can easily break it down into three sections;
Undies:
Friday I decided to seriously potty train Ethan…I mean I knew he could do it…and I thought it might be quite easy, but life just needed to settle down a little so I could build up enough courage to tackle this task. A brilliant friend of mine, Haley, was potty training her lovely daughter and she had some advice for me. She suggested that I just go straight to big boy underwear from diapers. This would help make Ethan more conscience of when he did go to the bathroom. She also said to tell him not to get them wet…so I decided…no guts, no glory…and jumped into “tinkle land” with both feet.
Quick understanding of how things went:
Friday- 3 tinkles in the potty, 3 tinkles in the “underwears”
Saturday-3 tinkles in the potty, 1 tinkles in the “underwears”, and 1 tinkles in the bath tub
Sunday-2 tinkles in the potty, 4 tinkles in the “underwears”…at church
Monday-9 tinkles in the potty, 1 tinkles in the “underwears”, 1 tinkles on daddy (almost died of laughter)
Tuesday- 7 tinkles in the potty, 1 tinkles in the “underwear”
Hooray! He is doing SO well! And here is a picture of my cutie in his lovely new big boy underwear…or what he calls “big underwears”

Burglars:
Also on Friday night…
Sam and I were sleeping so peacefully in our bed, when all of the sudden…Sam jumps out of bed. I bolt up and see that it is 3:30 in the morning. I ask him in a panic what’s wrong and he says, “Someones broken into the house!” I was thinking we were going to die! He grabs his shirt off of the chair and begins to put it on…while he is doing this, I start to wonder what might have tipped him off about the burglar? I mean, I didn’t hear any loud noisy…but I have been sleeping pretty hard lately…so I must have missed it. So I asked him what made him think there was someone here… “Over there” …and he points…I said, “what, those dirty clothes?” …there was a pile of dirty clothes sitting in the hall way… “Sam, those have been there for a couple of days now.” Then my protective husband plops right back down in bed…and doesn’t miss a beat. The next day I asked him about it and he didn’t remember anything…those clothes WERE really scary though! 😉

Pumpkins:
Saturday we spent the morning painting pumpkins….here are our masterpieces!
We had a great time…I think we will need to make this a yearly thing!
