Ok guys…my dad would be so proud of my title…because he is the king of corny! And I guess we all love him for that. Anyway…now to the good stuff!
I told you guys that my dad was going to have his surgery first thing Wednesday morning…but Tuesday night that all changed. His surgery was going to be in the O.R. room at the doctor’s office, but when his Pre-op tests came back the anesthesiologist felt like dad should have his surgery at the hospital…and the only opening they had was at 6:30pm!…which he didn’t end up getting in until 7:30 and we didn’t leave the hospital until about 10:30.
When they wheeled my dad out I couldn’t help but laugh…I mean he looked hilarious…(and I can post about that, because I already joked about him to his face! 😉 )…he looked like Jesus. He was totally covered by blankets and then they wrapped one around his head!…oh how I wished I would’ve brought a camera…I mean the blankets, his facial expressions…that would have been priceless. But I didn’t think that would be a good idea…I mean who brings a camera to their dad’s surgery?…tacky!…but I made up for it later!
These are some pictures we took Friday and Saturday…he couldn’t take off his bandage until Saturday night…and I was definitely there to see the reveal…oh yeah!!!
These are NOT for the faint at heart…but I love them!
here’s the poor man with his crutches…gotta love the hospital sock on his left foot…I totally think those will be in fashion soon dad!
They wrapped his leg from his knee to his toes…and you can see how swollen his toes are
Okay here are his lovely toes…stained with iodine…it looks worse on camera then in person…and man are they swollen!

little artistic view…look at that…priceless!

this is as he was unwrapping it…you can see the indentions on his ankle and foot
and around his knee

his swollen knee, iodine stained, sharpie written on, janked up knee…there are two little dots up at the top on either side of the writing and three in the middle under his knee cap…those are where they went in.
a close up on the wholes…if you look really hard at the left one, you can kinda see in…the pictures really don’t do it justice…I just wanted to touch it…but for the sake of my life, I didn’t!
look how tight the bandage was! His leg looked like one lumpy mess!…I just wanted to keep starring at it all night!

Your poor dad. So glad the surgery went well and he is on the mend!
Aww…. Poor Ron. I’m glad everything is going well. The pictures are great. I love the lumpy leg look. LOL!!!
I hope he recovers well from the Laparoscopy, why did he needed this type of surgery?
The picture are priceless!
he feel June 28th…just trip on the last step walking off the stage at our church and landed on his knee. He didn’t think it was a big deal until 8 weeks later it still hurt!
