The theme of this weeks post is dedicated to some lyrics from a little song in the movie Rio. Drop it, Drop it, Drop it LOW! Pippa has really dropped, and I don’t mean the kind of “oh she looks a little lower” consolation belly drop. No, she is like down to my knees, ha! My midwife was surprised how low she was for me not being in labor. I guess it could go back to what another one of my midwives said a couple of weeks ago about this being my 5th baby and “things” are just trying to fall out. Oh such a flatterer she was. However, she is still taking up residence in my uterus no matter how low she is. I am only 2cm and 50%, which doesn’t mean anything, but seems behind from how I normally do things. Oh well. She’s good to stay put for a bit.
Ignore my annoyed, puffy face in the picture. I wasn’t really feeling the photo opp, and my 6 year old was lacking in his stellar photographing abilities. Also note that my belly is hanging out of my shirt…yes, this is happening ALL. THE. TIME now. I feel like a beer bellied red neck. Joy.
For some reason I have really been putting off/lacking the desire to pack a hospital bag. Maybe it’s denial. Maybe I think she won’t come until it’s packed. Who knows, but hubby is really pushing to get it done. I told him I think I needed one of these bags to help motivate me. Don’t you guys think so?!
Speak to me Vera!
And finally this week I bought the rest of the items to make Pippa’s bedding. However, yesterday while I tried to get started on it I had problem after problem. This is why you don’t wait until the 38th week to do things like this. Women that large and in charge lack major patience for this kind of thing. Can I get an amen?! After taking a couple hour break and Sam bringing me home new needles (because I broke one sewing), I started right back up. And I’m SO glad I did. It is looking GORGEOUS!!!
I still have some work to do on the crib skirt, sheet, etc. but WOOHOO it’s progress! Man, I love me some Amy Butler!!!!
What do y’all think?

Oh my gosh- I so heart Vera Bradley! I new bag is def great motivation! And those crib bumpers are adorbs!
Right?! I feel like it’s the PERFECT motivation, ha!
