Whew, this is really happening fast! Sam asked me the other day how far along I was (does he not read my blog?! ha!), and when I told him he didn’t believe me. I don’t believe myself sometimes. But this pregnancy I think I am carrying Pippa a little different, that or the fact I’ve had 5 babies in 6 years, because I’ve had a lot of lower pains. So this should be a fun 8 weeks. I’m trying to walk each day in preparation for labor, and I need to do some brushing up on the Bradley Method, cause we’ll be doing this thing naturally. Lord willing!
I’m pretty sure the kids are getting jealous of my weekly baby bump pictures, because they are now photo bombing almost every pic!
Yesterday I took Paisley to my midwife appointment with me so we could have some mommy, daughter time and she loved it! Even though we waited for an hour before going back, home girl spent most of the time flipping through magazines and pretending to be a puppy. Boy do I love that girl! When we finally went back to our room Paisley wanted to be weighed just like me, wish I could have entered her weight as mine! Then once it was time to hear Pippa’s heartbeat my midwife pulled Paisley up on my lap and let her help find it. She thought she was HOT STUFF. Such a fun moment.
So here we go, welcome 8th month!

So exciting! If you need to borrow any bradley books, I have a million!
Yes! I’d love to borrow your books! It’s always good to brush up to be prepared before doing it naturally again.
Hooray! Would love to see your tips on going natural. I broke down and got the epidural with C after a few hours, but I would prefer to go without for this little lady.
I focused a lot on breathing (I could count six deep breaths and the contraction was never longer than that), also had my husband tell me the halfway point because if I could make it halfway I could do the other half, we watched movies at the beginning, try to rest as much as possible between contractions, have signals for things you need for when you can’t talk through contractions, and pray pray pray! I was induced and made it through 15 hours of labor, so I know that you can do it! Be stubborn! haha
But also remember, there is no shame in taking the drugs if that’s what you need.
Girl is love to chat with you about it at church! The biggest thing I tell people is that you have to go into saying you WILL do it naturally. If you say I’ll try, then you’ll probably give up. Also people ask how I do it and I say that you need to know that when the pain reaches the point you think you can’t take it anymore, know it won’t get worse. That’s when most women decide to finally get the drugs, but if they knew how close they were they might not have! Just know you can do it! 😉
