**Be sure to check out my guest post over at Fancy Little Things!**
Friday night our church had it’s annual Family Fall Festival and of course we had to attend. I remember when I only had one child and I vowed never to buy a mainstream costume. ever. My children would always have FANTASTIC handmade ones and all the children would be a cohesive matching theme.
Then reality hit and all that comes with raising four children, blogging, owning your own business etc. It just wasn’t happening. So off we headed to the store to buy pre-packaged costumes.
Good thing they still looked cute!
Not to mention they were SO excited because these were costumes THEY really wanted!
Before the festival we had to pop in to see daddy at work!
We had two Avengers show up: Hawkeye and Captain America, Cinderella, and an owl!
Once we arrived at church games were to be played and fun was to be had.
**note: this post is FULL of blurry pictures, mainly because someone crashed in the car on the way to church and wouldn’t wake up. So I had to one hand the job…not so good quality that way, ha!**
Yeah…the kids REALLY loved their costumes!
Penelope’s reaction was the best. HA! (see below pic)
This game was HILARIOUS!!!
They had to eat a donut which dangled from the ceiling without using their hands.
BEST. GAME. EVER!
Finally, sleepy-head woke up and joined the party!
She totally freaked out when she awoke to all the noise and mass of people, ha!
Poor girl.
No festival is complete without a bounce house!
HOLLA!
We ended all the fun with a cardboard box maze.
The kids had a BLAST in there and I am pretty certain if I had let them, they would still be in there to this day, ha!
I was really glad they did like it, because I am SO claustrophobic and wouldn’t have gone in after them.
Sorry kids.
We LOVE going to the festival every year!
What are some fun things you guys do for or instead of Halloween?!

I attempted to make C’s costume this year as well. Yeah…no. She went as a puppy.
Sorry we missed seeing you guys at the fall fest! We were only there a few minutes, and our camera broke! Boo!
I’m the oldest of 6 and for the most part my Mom actually did make our costumes each year. Typically at least one of us was wrapped in a sheet for some reason or other. I still don’t know how she did it!
I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!! So much fun!
I made RB’s costume this year and it did not go so well ha! I am currently refitting it sort of so that she can wear it at Trunk or Treat tonight. We had one party last week so that was our first attempt
