Before we all get to the Influence Conference in 2 weeks, I feel like I should “explain” a little bit about myself. You know, just in case you are like…“This Brittany kid is TOTALLY weird!” That way I can say you’ve been warned…aren’t you so lucky?! ha!
To make things simple I’ve comprised a list of the TOP TEN things you should know about me before we actually MEET! And here it goes:
1. I am a LOUD, opinionated, and VERY expressive person! Pretty sure there is NO hiding that fact, and if you converse with me at Influence be prepared…also stay at least arms length away…those suckers tend to flail while I speak. Yeah, so expressive.
2. I am short (only 5.6″) and chubby. Let’s be honest, not everyone looks the same as they appear online. It’s amazing what a little a lot of make up, heels, and sucking in can do for a lady! ha! Like, who knew Aimee was 5.10″?!? Not me!! I TOTALLY pictured her as petite little spitfire! ha! Love that sassy lady!
3. I prefer to NOT wear make up. Not because I am a natural beauty(ha!), but because I am lazy! When I was dating my husband I rarely wore make up. You see I wanted him to know what he was getting himself into if we ever got married! (worked like a charm) Maybe I should have also stopped shaving my legs too…because that seem to be my current reality. Oops!
4. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to sleep! Like I am pretty sure I require more sleep than newborns. No lie. And as a matter of fact, I’ve been known to sleep walk a time or two when I was younger. Sorry roomies!
5. I am VERY competitive and LOVE college football! So when you see me on Saturday, do not be alarmed if I am glued to my phone checking for Arkansas Razorback updates. (not that they are having a good year anyway…but I still love them!) Also, I may let out an involuntary scream/squeal/shout after a big play…positive or negative! And just pretend like you didn’t see me jump up on the furniture at the hotel either…cause that seriously might happen.
6. I am a HUGGER! Even though we may have never met in person, I will run up to you (remember VERY expressive) and hug your neck! And if you happen to be pregnant (which it seems like half the ladies are, ha!) I may even bend down and chat with your baby a bit too, ha! Because we’re internet family.
7. Do not be surprised if I call you by your twitter handle. I know you as “The Momdiggity” and may forget that your birth certificate states Kara-Kae. So feel free to shout “naturallyestes“, and I will only be slightly offended you don’t know me otherwise.
8. I love gifts. So if you want to become fast friends…bring me some. Lots and lots of gifts.
9. I CANNOT survive without coffee. And boy do I LOVE me some Starbucks! (see #8) *hint hint*
10. Frankly I’m kinda old school. I like writing posts, taking notes, etc. using an actual pen and paper. You won’t see me sporting a laptop or iPad (not even because I don’t have one), because home girl loves to write! That and I’m what you call a “hunt & pecker” on the keyboard…but that’s a whole other story entirely! (stupid keyboarding class failed me, ha!) P.S. I’m a lefty! 😉
So there you have it! 10 things you should really know about me before meeting me at Influence. Please, run up to me, squeeze my neck, and let’s squeal like teenage girls!

Love the list! I just went to an amazing conference here in Chicago and we all REALLY wished we had tags with our Twitter handle on them. It would have helped. You can call me Tammygrrrl. It’s the nickname my husband gave me when we were dating 17 years ago and it stuck. One of our friends uses a pseudonym for writing and even though we all knew her real name, none of us could call her by it. She is who she is on Twitter! Looking forward to meeting you all.
Twitter??? oh yeah the account that i have yet hardly ever access even though i have an i-phone. and honey, 5’6″ is practically a giant as far as I’m concerned! Yes… I’m 5’2″ and curvy.. in fact my curves have curves. I’ve been told its the type of figure appreciated in Europe especially in Germany and Italy, ha ha!
I do agree… i really hope we have name tags too because my memory is a bit shaky.

I am totally a hugger, am scared of being left out, and I am only 5 feet tall. 5ft 1 on a good day… 🙂 I will bring my ipad, laptop, and iphone but will more than likely have a notebook because I like to be old school that way. Can’t WAIT to meet you!
So, I figured since we’re most likely gonna share I bed I need to get to know you 🙂 Jack Pot! I am so excited that we’re gonna be roomies 🙂 I am not Southern, but I love Jesus, coffee, and writing old school in journals. I like gifts too. In fact, you could just give me that necklace you got.
