The other day when Sam and I were in Barnes & Noble (cause we are there like once a week…no lie!) we saw a sign advertising that Newt Gingrich was going to be there signing his newest book. After reading said sign, my husband declared that he would be there…no ifs, ands, or buts about it…he was there! And since the boys would be at school that day, Paisley and I decided to go with him.
I just planned to photograph him and all his excitement, but once we arrived at Barnes & Noble I was sucked into it too.
The great blogger that I am, I had to document everything in photos.
So here we are waiting in line to buy the book!
Paisley could care less was so excited!
After buying Newts book, we realized that Governor Rick Perry was also signing books!
So we stood back in line to purchase his book.
It was so official.
There were books, receipts, wrist bands, lines, and secret service people.
Who I might mention were all dressed in suits with red ties.
Republican ties??
Our line was positioned right by the new toy aisles at Barnes & Noble.
Perfect.
Paisley and I had a great little play time!
She was so excited to play with this purse.
Doesn’t she look so cute?!?!
After 3 hours of waiting we arrived at Newt Gingrich’s table.
A lady offered to take our picture, but Newt (cause we’re on a first name basis) didn’t get that memo, haha!
As we were leaving Newt’s line he looked up at me and said, “That’s cute” pointing to Paisley.
I kind of chuckled because it sounded like he called my daughter a “that”. haha!
Thanks Newt.
But I know he really meant that I had her strapped on.
Newt, pro baby wearing…I think so! 😉
Then we moved on to Rick Perry who also was too busy signing.
Sadness.
I’ll forgive Rick (again, we’re good pals) because he signed my book and drew a big heart in it.
Didn’t do that for Sam.
We didn’t even have a chance to approve the pictures, and the lady didn’t seem to care that neither man was looking.
It’s not everyday that you can say you met two famous political people.
Well, at least it’s not everyday that I can say that.
Paisley, I hope you remember the day that you met Newt Gingrich and Gov. Rick Perry. 😉

Stopping in from SITS! Sounds like a fun day at Barnes and Noble! You’re daughter holding the purse is adorable!
what kind of mother names their child NEWT?!
Also…Paisley you little stinkin cutie. I love girls! Does she like your Beco? Ruby LOVES it! She just likes being worn, period. Love P’s little purse! Such a little lady!
