…and I guess the kiddos had fun too!
Last week my friend Donna and I decided to meet up with our kids for a fun play date at Chick-fil-a.
We were so genius, because neither one of us had to worry about cleaning our houses for the get together, nor did we have to worry about cleaning up the tornado that would be left behind after! Also this allowed for my adrenaline junky boys to harness all of that energy on a play gym…told you smart. But the real beauty of it was the shear fact that Donna and I got to have some adult time. Oh how we stay at home moms treasure those moments! Since we all had so much fun we decided to make it a weekly date! Here are the pictures from yesterday:
Ethan wouldn’t stay still long enough for me to get a picture of him.
Punk.
Posing before their trek up the tree!
Paisley was just content to crawl around on the floor.
But we did have to make sure she didn’t get trampled.
Titus kept trying to escape…for the food.
That’s all the kid thinks about.
Food.
Look at Paisley chewing on the wipe case.
She means business.
Sweet little Ava.
She has such long pretty hair, but she never wants it put up.
This girl is a little mommy, she kept watching out for the boys, helping them down the slide (they didn’t need it, but she insisted, ha!), and showing her pretty painted toe nails to Paisley.
To which Paisley tried to eat. Oh boy.
Slide time.
cuties!
Jaren and Ethan playing together.
When I asked them to look at me for the picture, Jaren stopped right there and smiled.
Ethan took a bit of persuading. Apparently I was impeding on his play time.
Sorry.
Man, Donna’s kids are so well behaved. sigh.
Ethan got a little sweet on Ava.
These look like engagement pictures, haha!
Then she decided to hug back.
To which Ethan decided to kiss her.
Oh snap, we’re in that stage already?!?!
Paisley enjoyed the flowers…
Sweet girl…
she thought they were real…
…and was saddened they were not edible.
Hard lesson to learn, huh baby.
They tricked me too.
Titus, doing his own thing.
Jaren…the king of the slide!
Such a big girl!
Me and my sweetie pie
Donna chatting with Ava.
My sweet friend Donna.
You see the funny thing is, she told me that she never comments on my blog, and she better not end up on there (jokingly)…so I chuckled and seized my opportunity to snap a picture!
How do you like that Donna, haha!
She is infatuated with the camera.
And her bottom teeth.
Then the kids took turns playing “daddy” and “puppies”
Joy.
They commanded each other to roll over, shake, sit, etc.
We had another great play date with them, and I can’t wait until our visit next week! Donna, thank you so much for your friendship, and your kids are a joy to me as well as my kiddos!
Stay at home mamas unite!
haha!

Hey Brit, this is a great entry on your blog. I’m sooo glad we’re doing the “Mommy Play Dates.” I’m glad we’re friends and our kids get along so well too- we just have to keep an eye on Ethan and Ava. haha.
