I was on my blog this morning (I like to blog while they watch PBS…which they love by the way!) and Ethan came over to me wanting to cuddle! Oh how I LOVE morning cuddle time! But before I could put the computer up he started asking to press some keys. Not wanting to be rude, I decided to make it a fun learning experience! I told him that he could touch a key if he could name the letter on it. His face lit up after he pressed each key and saw that letter appeared on the computer screen, instant gratification! Then I decided to “kick it up a notch” according to Emeril, and we named something that started with that letter! Bam! We had a game!

Here are the letters we did:

q quiet

p pig

s snake

w whale

t tooth

x xray

y yawn

a apple

e ethan

h hop

f foot

d dog

c cat

We didn’t make it through every letter because he decided this game was no longer cool enough for him! haha!

This kid will have a blast at preschool this year! As a matter of fact he asks me everyday if he can go to school…every time we step out of the house, he tells me that we are going to drop him off at school! tear.

So for my sanity we have begun a count down to the start of preschool!

Every time we “x” a day off, we count how close we are to his first day…but he quickly reminds me his first day is his “meet the teacher” day. oh geez!
