Okay.
My husband told me that although he loves my posts with pictures, it seems that my blog has been lacking some meat.
Thanks honey. Here’s your meat!
Just kidding, I’m not mad.
Sorry I have been neglecting you, my poor readers. I have left you malnourished, starving, and begging for some real blogging meat. Tonight that changes.
So let’s eat!
…………………………..
I’ve come to the realization that life is a lot like the game Jenga.
What?!
Seriously.
We all have our own tower of pieces, if you will, that make up our life. It starts out pretty, neat, and perfectly stacked. Seems like it could never be knocked down. But then reality hits.
* you lose your job.
(out goes a piece)
*spouse/ significant other cheats on you
(out goes a piece)
* you get hurt
(out goes a piece)
etc. (let me put in a little note and say that none of the above examples came from real life.)
Before you know it all of these pieces are missing and your once perfect tower is ready to topple.
And then it does.
Some of us just sit there, stare at the pieces and then try to fit them back together on our own. But somehow they never seem to fit back the same way. (kinda like your body after pregnancy, HA!) So as we try to “start over” and rebuild our jenga tower, it’s just faulty.
But…
When others have their tower fall they realize that they cannot build it back again and keep it standing on their own.
So what do they do?
I’m glad you asked. 😉
(your participation is greatly appreciated, haha!)
They turn to Christ. Surrendering their all, they allow Him to take over their life and run it. (kinda like a chauffeur…because He’s the driver…and you allow Him to be! …which is good because I hate driving!)
So when Christ rebuilds your tower, He makes it look brand new. All of those cracks and missing pieces are now filled with bright, sparkling new pieces!
How awesome it that?!
Now I am not going to lie to you and say that nothing happens to your tower from that point on…
Because it does.
But, the cool thing is God pulls a Matrix move. Can you imagine Him looking like Keanu Reeves?
(Is that wrong to compare God to the movie “The Matrix”?)
It’s like when a piece starts to fall it moves in slow motion. Then with lightning fast Neo reflexes, God grabs it and puts one of His own pieces back in it’s place. Which thankfully is much prettier and stronger then our own. As we face trials, tragedies, and curve balls our tower is getting stronger and stronger… til eventually our Jenga structure  is more of Him and less of our weak, feeble pieces.
Great! Works for me!
So when the peanut gallery watching your life game of Jenga, getting ready to yell…
JENGA!
at your falling tower; think who’s going to build it back?
My decision is quite easy…I am not an arcitect, ha!
……………………………
Okay everyone,
Are we full now?
Tomorrow shall just be a light vegetarian snack, haha!
