If you give my son steals a cookie.
You might ask him how many was eaten.
He may reply, “All of them.”
Then as you freak out, you may realize that there were 10 cookies left.
He may ask for a glass of milk because his mouth is so dry.
You’ll get him a glass and then try to burn off his excess energy.
When it comes time for his nap, he may ask to lay with you.
You’ll agree.
When the entire nap time passes without even a wink of sleep, you realize this child can never have a cookie again.
After a long afternoon, he soon begins to crash.
You then feed him dinner and send him to bed.
He will then wake up every couple of hours with night terrors because he has trouble switching sleep cycles.
You will awake in the morning feeling like you need to go back to bed.
As he eats breakfast, he will ask for a glass of milk to go with it.
Once you turn your back, he will probably try to climb the cabinets to get another cookie.
(and the cycle continues)
