Dear Lady,
I don’t know if you will remember me, but I was the pregnant lady that you ran into at church on Sunday. You know, when you saw me you asked when I was due. I told you that I was due in March and you replied,” Oh wow, looks like you’re going to pop now!”
Thank you.
Too kind.
Automatically I felt like I needed to defend myself and say,
“Well this is my third pregnancy in 3 years.”
“My uterus is just growing faster because it already knows what to do.”
“I did start out heavier then what I wanted to this pregnancy.”
“I am carrying a girl, and I look different then what I did with both my boys.”
It puts you on the spot.
What are you supposed to say?
What I really wanted to say to you was:
“How dare you say that to a pregnant woman. I mean first of all, we are a grenade full of hormones waiting to explode at any second…on a good day. Second, try putting on say 30 + pounds in a matter of nine months and still always feel good about your ever widening figure.
I mean give me a break lady. I am growing a human being here. And it is really tough to enjoy pregnancy (which I do) when people like you feel the need to steal my joy. thank-you-very-much.”
So because I LOVE being pregnant for the most part and I try to keep loving my changing body; here’s a picture!
(this is me right before bed tonight)
Enjoy,
Brittany
This is one of the most exciting times in my life.
I LOVE the fact that God has blessed me with the ability to carry a child!
I know those of you ladies who have been pregnant can relate to me.
Even if nobody has said anything to you like that, you can at least relate to the emotional side (good and bad) of pregnancy.
So therefore, you can forgive my rantings! HA!
Maybe I am bigger than I should be, but so what?!

If I was there I would have said something!!! (okay maybe not to her face but you never know 😉 ) You look gorgeous and your so lucky to be preggers. Just enjoy having that sweet baby girl in your belly, and ignore the haters, lol. I love you girl
WHAT-EVER!!! Crazy lady! You look beautiful. I was just telling someone the other day that I always feel the most beautiful when I’m pregnant. I love it, too. I feel so blessed, like you said, that God chooses me to carry and grow a baby.
I’ll be thinking of a really sassy comeback for you in case someone else turns off their filter before sweet Paisley arrives.
Boy, you said it just right- why don’t some women have filters? There are those that are so miserable they just have to spread around their mood!
I think you look awesome- being pregnant is one of the most amazing things you can be, so don’t let her get you down!
(I was feeling a bit huge myself the other day, so I understand..) Pregnant women unite!! :0)
I think you look absolutely ADORABLE. And, for the record, someone from church said that to me as well when I was carrying Lydia, like 3 months from her due date. Some people just don’t think before they speak!! Don’t let it get you down, because you are so beautiful!!
You look great!!! I have only ever carried a girl, and I was blown away about how big I got. Your belly has that girl attitude…”Look! My mom is pregnant with me!!!” They start that early on. They stick up and out. I can’t wait to meet her. 🙂
You are adorable! I was about 10 weeks along with baby #3 and people started to ask me “are you sure your not having twins!!!”
and am now 14 1/2 weeks along and my sweet eldest daughter (2 1/2) look at a picture book last night and pointed at the Whale and said “Mama!!! big belly, Mama Whale” !!!! isn’t she sweet!
the joy of being pregnant practicably all the time LOL (My husband told me that he seen me pregnant more often then not since we met)
