Well, sadly I was unable to send anyone five dollars, because nobody guessed what lurked in the crock pot for me!
Though Haley I do appreciate your desire to keep guessing!…and you were so close!
Inside the crock pot was chicken noodle soup…but that is NOT what it looked like.
(pause while I hold back the vomit)
And it was rough!

So anyway,
Back to Sam and I being the coolest parents.
I mean if I do say so myself.
The other day we were eating some fast food at home and Ethan was drinking his drink.
All of the sudden he looked over at Sam and asked if he could have Sam’s straw too.
We both gave each other a funny look but Sam decided to indulge him.
Ethan: Oh, thank you so much!
Sam: What are you going to do with that?
Ethan: watch!
and he sticks the “new” straw into his old one and makes an extra long straw to drink out of.
Clever, huh?!?!
When we saw what he was doing, we died laughing!
Who would’ve thought?!
Then we thought,
well we can’t just let him stop there
I mean who are we to hinder his creativity
…plus I wanted to see it myself!
So we took the straw out of my cup and Sam helped him make an extra, EXTRA long straw.
And was he amazed!
He had to test it out!
And it worked!
Granted only a tiny bit made it all the way up (because of the lack of suction he could produce)
but he kept trying!
And boy was he SO proud!
He kept saying, “Take my picture” and “Thank you so much!“
So we couldn’t stop there!
We had to go EVEN further…

Well bummer that was what I was going to say for my second guess. You have one smart cookie there Brit. He’s grown so much since the last time I saw him, he’s a cutie.

What a fun night with some fast food cups and straws! Ahhh… it’s the little things in life that make kids so happy.
