Girl, I will definitely not be the one giving tips. I just want to say that you are a GREAT mom. I’ve always noticed how natural you are around Ethan and other kiddos and secretly wished that it was that way with me. My house is never clean, and I only have one kid. I have so much respect for moms with more than one. You are amazing, and I look up you!

Ditto what Sara said. You are a good mom, and so good with Ethan. You stay calm and collected even when things get crazy. And we all have different ways that we sometimes have to deal with the day. You get to have family to hang with…I drive through Sonic’s Happy Hour (when I have cash, and I don’t now and really want a DP…but I digress). Some days are harder than others and we do need help. You are so blessed to have your family here and so willing to help you guys.
Also, right now is still such a transition with Titus home and all. I didn’t do much of anything (except looks for reasons to go out to eat…lol) after Ben was born. Just relax and enjoy your boys. They will only be this size and age for a short time.
Did you see my post last week about the devotional on Mary and Martha? You said it so right about coming to God with a dirty house. That is such a battle for me. When the kids are napping I feel the need to “do” something. And by do something, I mean clean, organize, cook…something around the house. That is not necessarily what God wants from me in that moment, but I do cave more often than I care to admit.
I am getting rambly, but just wanted reiterate…you are a good mom! Seriously, you really are.

I certainly have no business givign tips, but the one I can give is that your boys need a mommy that allows God to work through her. Don’t look at the TV or your sisters as cop outs or things to beat up yourself about! Just think- God may be providing these things to you to give you a break, so you can be a better man after the break!

I think we can all just be honest for a minute and say that none of us have super clean houses all the time. Sometimes it’s healthier to just forget about cleaning and play with your kids. Sometimes Ryan comes home and makes a comment about the masses of toys. I usually tell him, “I decided to take a day off and just play.” When they’re old they won’t remember if the dishes were done daily, but they will remember how much fun you are. And you are fun! Eva loves you… and sometimes I think she likes you more than me. 🙂 We all have our own insecurities. I feel like a bad mommy sometimes because I have to work. Don’t live with the “If only’s”.
