Last night in Fort Worth there was a pretty big storm. So when Sam woke up this morning he discovered that our electricity was out! Not fun…so we called the electric company and they said that they would have it back on at 3:00. That wasn’t the best result, so I called my parents and they said I could come to their house for the day…seeing as my son has been sick for the past week and all he has wanted to do is sit on the couch and watch Nemo, Little Einsteins, etc. (I know that tv isn’t the best thing for a child, but I was trying anything to keep him happy and his mind off of being sick.) Plus I couldn’t cook any food for us to eat…things you take forget about needing electricity for! So I waited until Ethan woke up, took his temp and it was 102…better than before but we weren’t out of the clear. I packed up stuff for the day and went to my parent’s house.
On the way there I told him we were going to see GPops (my dad) and the whole way over all he would say was, “EPops, EPops!!”. As soon as we walked in the door he acted just fine for GPops…it was like he wasn’t sick at all. He still acts sick at times, but other than the fever he is pretty much back to normal…which excites me!!! Now I just hope that tomorrow the temp will be gone.
Oh!!!…back to the electricity…Sam called me when he got home form work and told me that our power was STILL out! Can you believe it? I had a bad feeling about it this morning…and I guess I was right. So now we will be shacked up at my parent’s house for the night!

Also please pray that Ethan will continue to get better!
