I have had a few questions asking what I mean about “living more natural”. Let me explain…
Sam and I decided to make changes in our lives to benefit us and the environment…it so happens that these changes are natural ones. We are always examining how we do things to see if we can make improvements.
Here are a few so you understand:
*we use cloth diapers on our son…and will continue to do so with Titus
*Ethan and I both wear amber necklaces…his is for teething and mine is for headaches (you will be surprised to know that amber necklaces are sold in pharmacies in Europe!)
*we try to buy organic products including food…we still have a lot of room to grow on the food side of things though! 😉
*I plan on laboring and delivering Titus in the water…and hopefully our next at home!
* Sam and I belive in co-sleeping (baby sleeping in the parent’s bed), breast feeding, baby wearing (wearing our child in a carrier)…etc.
*we try not to jump on everything medical…but try to look for the more homiopathic (natural) way
My sister Shawnda jokingly said once that I was a modern amish…because I like technology for the most part, but everything else I don’t. The funny thing is I took that for a compliment. So I found a picture which I think is so us!
Just another update on Ethan…I had hoped that he would wake up this morning and be better, but when he finally woke up at noon he had a temp of 103.6. So it looks like we aren’t out of the clear yet. I put a picture of what Ethan has been doing for the last couple of days…well when he isn’t glued to me of course.

Brittany, I found your blog from Carrie’s! Poor little Ethan. I hate to hear that he is so sick. I loved reading what you had to say about doing things more “naturally.” You are braver than me about a water or home birth! Many prayers for Ethan to feel better!-Sara Smith (Ella’s mom)
